Start and Finish Lines
Minimum age for participation
Three courses
- 750 meters
- Start: 12:00 am
- 1 lap (starting and finishing on the seashore)
- Time limit: 40 minutes
- 1.500 meters
- Start: 11:00 am
- 1 laps (starting and finishing on the seashore)
- Time limit: 50 minutes
- 3.000 meters
- Start: 9:00 am
- 2 laps (starting and finishing on the seashore)
- Time limit: 90 minutes
Mandatory usage
- Swim Cap and timing chip provided by the organization
Procedures at Starting Line
- Athletes must line up in the boxes identified for the respective course;
- Athletes are lined up by the arrival order at the box;
- 8 athletes will start at once, with a gap of 10 seconds between each start;
- The race only starts when the athlete steps on the timing mat placed in the starting area.
Supplies
- Solid and liquid supply kit at the end of the race.
Procedures at Finish Line
- The timing chip must be returned to the organization at the end of the race.
Race Packet
- Includes a swim cap, a timing chip, and a technical t-shirt.
Race Packet Pick Up
Saturday, April 20th, at Baía de Sines , according to the course in which you are registered:
- 3.000 meters: from 7:00 am to 8:50 am
- 1.500 meters: from 9:00 am to 10:45 am
- 750 meters: from 10:45 am to 11:45 am
Documents required to pick up the race packet
- Registration confirmation received in the email box after payment;
- Identification document (Identity Card, Citizen Card, Driving License).
Race packet pick up on behalf of another athlete
- Registration confirmation received in the email box after payment;
- Identification document of the person picking up the race packet (Identity Card, Citizen Card, Driving License).
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded, in each of the courses, to the following athletes:
- Top three absolute male and female classifieds
- Winning team of the team classification (only for the 1.500m and 3.000m courses) (*)
(*) For the team classification, the first five athletes are considered, regardless of gender, based on the sum of times. All members must use the same team name when registering.
To the male and female winners of each category of the 750 meter, 1.500 meter and 3.000 meter courses will be offered a registration for the Sines Open Water Race 2025 edition, with registration valid only for the respective athletes.
Schedule - September 20th, 2025
- 7:00 am: Cloakroom opening
- 7:00 to 8:50 am: Delivery of the 3.000 meters race packet
- 9:00 am: Start of 3.000 meters
- 9:00 to 10:45 am: Delivery of the 1.500 meters race packet
- 10:30 am: Podium 3.000 meters
- 10:45 to 11:30 am: Delivery of the 750 meters race packet
- 11:00 am: Start of 1.500 meters
- 11:45 am: Podium 1.500 meters
- 12:00 am: Start of 750 meters
- 12:30 am: Podium 750 meters
- 13:00 pm: Event closing
